process and quality management. While most simply apply basic ISO
standards for quality, VST goes way beyond.
VST adopts some
of the Japanese management concept known as “Kaizen,” which provides
method of continuous incremental improvements. Kaizen’s philosophy
is Total Quality Control. The key elements of Kaizen are quality,
effort, involvement of all employees, willingness to change and
communication.
VST also implements aspects of the
world-renowned Six Sigma business improvement methodology,
originally pioneered by Motorola and used today by the world’s
leading companies. Six Sigma, is a highly disciplined process that
helps companies focus on developing and delivering near perfection
on products and services. It is defined as a metric for measuring
defects and improving quality, and a methodology to reduce defect
levels below 3.4 Defects Per (one) Million Opportunities (DPMO).
